Identity: She is just as she appears to be: A young girl
learning to grow up with what might be a difficult situation in being
born a mutant (though the mutant is not known in general and only to
a choice few)
Legal status: Well, she's never shoplifted. She's never
J-walked. She's never even tossed paper into the street so her
mutant powers are unknown and unnoticed by the police or any other
group for that matter.
Other aliases: She goes by Nea and Daph. That's about it
since she's rarely had friends to think up nicknames or in this case
aliases for her to use.
Place of birth: San Francisco Bay area
Marital status: Single
Known relatives: At the moment only her Aunt Harriet from
her father's side is known about. She's much older than her father and
in a nursing home in SanFran. The relatives from her mother's side?
Well, they will come out soon enough.
Group affiliation: At the moment none. She is still working
on becoming part of the student body at the School for the Gifted run by
Professor Charles Xavier. But, as stated, that is still pending.
Base of operations: Hmm? Operations? Well, she has a dorm
room.. and she has a guest room at the school, but other than that, she
has none.
First appearance: She first arrived in New York in September
2000, and since then has been seen by a great number of people.
History:
Nea was born in SanFrancisco, roughly 16 years ago. Her life has taken many bumps and bruises along the way, but it has had it's high points. Her learning at a very quick rate for one. She was learning the names of planets and stars almost before she could go to school. This prompted her parents to teach her as much as possible and always make sure her knowledge advanced instead of declined as a result.
When she was 13, her father was killed in a tragic accident involving a drunk driver and her life forever altered. Her mother moved with her to NewYork when she turned 16. She had graduated from high school faster than most and thanks to the foresight of her father before he died, had a fund so that she could choose whatever college that she wished. She decided New York was where she wanted to go and her mother followed.
Much to her dismay though, things in the more recient times of her life have gone more along the lines of bizzare and odd. First..her mutant powers make themselves known in a big way. Her mother disowns her after a long discussion that ends in Nea telling her mother about her mutancy. Nea is dealing with this when..she finds that her mother has taken things a step beyond just disowning her. She has commited suicide. And on top of this, Nea is the one to find her after she has done so. Could life get /any/ more horrible you might ask.. Well, yes. It could actually. Since soon after this, she discovers that not only can she hear others thoughts, but...she can see the ghosts of those who have died as well. One even asks her for help, but the real question would have to still be. Can things get /any/ weirder than this?

red highlights when looked at in the right lighting.
Strength level: Daphnea has average abilities for a girl her
size and age.
Known superhuman powers: Daphnea is a mild receptive
telepath, with the ability to read the surface thoughts of others in
a nearby area. She is also starting to develop the ability to sense,
and in a fashion communicate with, what seem to be the spirits of the
dead. These spirits have the ability to 'possess' her if their need is
great enough.
Other abilities: Daphnea is very skilled in astronomy, and
she also knows how to use tarot cards, draw up astrological charts,
and other skills used in white witchcraft.
