Real name: Unrevealed
Occupation: OMA Agent
Identity: Imprint's true identity is a secret. He has,
however, been given an identity by the US Government.
Legal status: With his current identity, Citizen of the
United States with no criminal record. Actually a citizen on the
Netherlands with no criminal record.
Other aliases: Marcel Maij
Place of birth: Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Marital status: Single
Known relatives: None
Group affiliation: Office of Metahuman Affairs, former
member of the Brotherhood (Europe)
Base of operations: New York Field Office of the OMA
First appearance: July, 2002
History:
For someone who's entire life history is, theoretically, on tape, not much is known about it. He grew up in the Netherlands, and, as an albino (who was mute), suffered teasing and discrimination long before mutants were even known about.
He was discovered by the Brotherhood shortly after the Black Prom, and by this time he was already conversant with his powers. They gave their pitch, and he listened to it, but wanted time to think about it. Sometime after the Symposium, he disappeared from the Brotherhood's radar.
Exactly how he wound up working for the OMA is still a mystery,
but he seems quite content to be working with them. He is typically
partnered with Special Agent George Belfour, codenamed
Backfire.
Height: 5'4" Weight: 130 lbs.
Eyes: Pink Hair: White
Unusual physical characteristics: Imprint's skin
is chalk-white, as is his hair. He sometimes wears makeup and
short term hair coloring to cover this (as in this photo), to
make him less conspicuous during surveillance. Imprint is also
mute, unable to speak in any way.
Strength level: Imprint's strength is equivalent to
a man of his height, age, and build, who engages in some regular
exercise.
Known superhuman powers: Imprint is a mutant with
certain technopathic capabilities. He has the ability to
convery what he sees and hears into electronic impulses, which
can be transmitted and/or recorded. He is, in essense, a
walking audio/video recorder. He has perfect memory, and
is a blind spot to telepaths, as though his mind isn't there
at all. Although he has perfect memory, any given experience
Imprint has can be transmitted at most twice. He can
transmit only one copy of an experience in his memory, but
if he's transmitting live, it doesn't count (and watching a
tape of something he recorded earlier counts as a new
experience, but there's quality loss).
He also has the ability to 'synch up' to any one
other person at a time, making them a similar audio/video
recorder (however, the information is relayed through Imprint),
and also rendering them invisible to telepaths. This 'interface'
can be disrupted with any electrical attack on either Imprint or
the one he's interfacing with.
Other abilities: Unknown
Weapons and paraphernalia: Imprint carries a
firearm.
